Professional Training

Professional Training

It is a legal requirement that staff who are involved in a food environment are trained and/or supervised commensurate with their work activity.

The responsibility for the supervision and training of staff lies with the proprietor of the food business.

From 1st of January 2006, staff responsible for the development & maintenance of the food’s business’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system must have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP Principles

“Training is a process of learning the skills you need to do a particular job or activity”.

Learning occurs for our participants, when the material is relevant and challenging and when contributions are sought, acknowledged and valued. All of our training courses are clearly communicated and learners are motivated through developing interest in the subject matter, applying the training information to their daily activities.

Cases studies are used to emphasise the importance of food safety to learners including how their role can have a positive impact on your business.

Participants are encouraged to complete the training evaluation assessments forms which can tell us how effective the training was. Evaluation acts as a check to ensure that the training was able to fill the competency gaps within the business. Staff should then demonstrate their competency and knowledge by putting their training in action when carrying out their daily tasks.

Our training courses are customised to suit each business and individual needs.
